Bureaucracy revisited

Bridezilla visited the UK High Commission today...just a short courtesy visit-NOT! My interview was at 9am, so I was there by 8.40am. Little did I know I had to wait for nearly two hours!

No cameras, no phones...I nearly could not survive that 2-hour wait.It was filled to the brim with hopeful students, applying for student visas since the Uni season is starting again very very soon. There are three interview rooms, each with an interviewer waiting to scrutinize your file with a manifying glass.

One girl from China was just hysterical. Whilst inside interview room no. 2, she screamed and shouted in english to the interviewer. They were discussing parents salaries, her bank book ect in earnest like as if the world depended on it. It took nearly 30mins for her, and she came out crying..she thought that guy was going to reject her visa! After 10 mins of sobby tears she was called in again...and then she started screaming again! Hahahaha...this time in joy.She came out and just did a huge "YEA!!", complete with the victory jump and maniacal smile.I nearly clapped out of politeness.

By the time the clock striked 10am, I was getting antsy . Interviewer 1 and 3 did not seem to be producing approvals at all. Everyone that has gone through them were still waiting for their verdict. Interviewer 2 was the only one churning out any approvals. Or rather, everyone that went through him was asked clear and concise questions and he did not make people wait by asking them to sit down for a futher hour and calling on other applicants whilst he think about it.Which I think its just typical of bureaucracy.

As fate would have it, I was called upon by Interviewer 2. The funniest questions come out..like, did you fill up the form yourself, were you in the UK recently, is there anything else you want to show me?

Like....it's all in my application form already!

The best was him asking about Groomzilla's family. Out I came with the story of his parents, brother and step-siblings. Interviewer 2 asked me what was his brother's name and have I met him. Of course I've met him, and I added on that Broinlaw-zilla is a hottie..Now folks, tell me that he's not???!!

HOT LEH?? Okay, enough gawking.Lyndz right next to him will have Bridezilla for supper if she knows I've posted this up

Interviewer 2 chuckled and said that I better not tell Groomzilla. My response was that Groomzilla told my parents that I think Broinlaw-zilla's hot.Heh

Anyway, he asked a couple more questions about what sort of wedding am I planning and are my parents going over ect. ect. Then he kicked me out and told me he'd go over my documents again..being as anal as I am, documentation came up to be as thick as a concise dictionary!

5 mins later I was recalled. When he told me I was approved, I just stared at him as if he turned into a Godzilla..he stared back. This staring spat went on for another minute before I broke it with a signature Bridezilla smile.

Life's taken a turn for the better

So still can grab ok, it's not too late.I love his stubble.Tried getting Groomzilla to do one,but he HATES it. Although I think he looks hot when he does.

If everything goes as plan, you might even get a dance together, as he's the best man!

So it's what now?Broinlawzilla or Bestzilla? Maybe just Hotzilla?
